7/10/08 New PC...Test
Back in business...Just got a new PC (last one took a dump with all
my info on it. I'll back stuff up from now on....)
I just got back home from the annual Canal Zone Reunion where I
had a blast with all my friends from back home, and now I'm off to
Panama for a surf trip and a little promotion work in the city,  while
Seth Elliott and Brent Schwalm are off to Canada for the Annual
Wakestock event with Jason Thorne and Co.   Thanks for stopping
by and see you in a week or two.......r.
Hey what's up. Ive been sitting around sleeping and  waiting for my broken
ribs to heal, it sucks.  It's been a month since my crash in Hermosillo,
Mexico where I missed the landing ramp and slammed the ground hard. I
think I hit head first because I knocked my self out from when I hit the
ground till I woke up in the hospital.  The next week felt like two days...luckily
I only broke some ribs, knocked out some teeth and hurt my shoulder...
there was metal re bar sticking out near where I landed, everyone thought
one of the bars stabbed me when I went down, but luckily that didn't happen.

When I   got out of the hospital my friends and I continued our road trip to
California where met up with
Mike Metzger and he tattooed a sweet bomb
on my arm. We hung out in Cali for a few days then drove back to
Ensenada Mexico. The next show, only two weeks  after my crash,  I duct
taped my sore shoulder and  went out and did a big burnout.  After I got the
crowd going my adrenaline took away the pain and I hit the ramp and did a
bunch of tricks for the crowd.I landed well and didn't re injur myself luckily.
The next show in was in Tijuana the next night.  I went out and did a burnout
for the crowd and decided it was best not to jump since I was now feeling
the pain from riding the night before with stitches and duct tape. A couple of
burnouts would be all I was in for before the long drive back to Canada.

Back on our road trip we drove to Cali and relaxed at the beach for a day,
went to LasVegas and partied for a night.  Now im back home in Canada to
finish my recovery. Thanks for stopping by......mp

7/30/08 Wakestock was a Blast

Seth Elliott and Brent Schwalm made the trip up north to meet up with
ECX/Metal Mulisha rider Jason Thorne and the crew of ThorneFMX for the
annual Wakestock event in Canada.  ECX has been a part of this event for
the last couple of years now and have one of the best times of the year
here. The show included many top bands, wakeboard competitions, bikini
contests and a killer party all weekend.

The jumping for this years event was taking care of by Jason Thorne, Marco
Rikkonen, Seth Elliott, and Brent Schwalm. The riders hit a two ramp set up
pulling off some tricks for the crowd in between all the h20 action.  Elliott
went down briefly when he didn't get all the way back from a hart attack, but
brushed himself off and kept on kickin for the rest of the event.
We may be seeing alot more of Canada now  that Thorne dog has his pit
ready for some upside down practice. ECX would like to thank everyone
who made this event possible and a special thanks to ThorneFMX ..We
hope to be a part of it next year, thanks for stopping by....ecx.

8/5/08 Celerity MotoFreak Show Pt. I  Manizales
Colombia.

After getting a last minute phone call last Wednesday night, I was on
the first flight to
Colombia for a two week tour for the Celerity
MotoFreak Show by Skillz Ent.
The tour would start in Sebastian
"
Tatan" Mejia's home town of Manizales and finish off a week later in
Medellin for the Intl. Flower Festival being held throughout the city for
the entire week.

The show in Manizales consisted of
Dustin Nowak-USA,Duver"
Pollo" Restrepo
-Colombia, Gilmar "Johanina" Flores-Brazil, and
myself-
Panama, with the FMX, Caleb and Colton Moore -USA ,with
the Quad FMX, and X games Silver Medalist
Sam Rogers-USA,  taking
up the duties on the Snowmobile.
ESPNs' Andres Zambon from
Argentina would be taking up the mic for the tour.Andres has now
become the FMX voice for most of the major shows in Latinamerica.

The event started with a little rain and ended with a bang as the Moore
brothers hit eachother in mid air during a train sending the whole crowd
into a roar. The entire evenings show was a success with the crowd
stoked with the tricks put on by the riders. The only downside of the
event was the absence of
Sebastian"Tatan"Mejia from the rider
lineup. Tatan seems to have taken a digger and seperated his shoulder
while practicing flips at
Chuck Carothers house last week in Texas.
Still, the injured Colombian  moto star was on hand to sign autographs
as well as to lend me his ride for the tour...Gracias compa!

After the show the crew took us to a soccer game to enjoy some local
flavor before the 8 hour ride through the mountains of Colombia on our
way to Medellin. We now have a week here in Medellin to do some P.R.
and enjoy the festivities of the Intl. Flower Festival  that has all sort of
events going on all week before our show this weekend.

I will keep you posted after the show. Thanks for stopping by and hope
all is well......r.

Medellin Colombia- After a day of driving through the mountains
from Manizales, we got up in the a.m. for a press conference and some
riding at a local track with some of the racers. I wasn't feeling the track
riding, so I decided to take up my friend and RedBull man Juanchos'
invite to his  farm for a few days of rest and relaxation in the mountains
of Venecia. With two days of great food, some guaro, and great views
of the Colombian landscape, I met up with the other riders at the main
soccer stadium for the show.

This show was similar to the one the weekend before with the addition
of
X Games gold medalist Chuck Carothers to the rider line up.
Again the
Moore bros. killed it with the quads adding a couple of flips
and variations to their runs while
Sam Rogers really added some thrill
as he took his sled upside down for the fans.

After a going away party by the guys at Skillz Ent. , I headed to
Panama for two days of media. Thanks to Skillz, Tatan and his family,
Juancho, and everyone else who made this trip possible.

I now have this afternoon to wash my gear and put my bike back
together before driving 650 miles to Wilmington, North Carolina, for the

8/18/08 11th Annual Gold Rush Charity Bike
Show @ Pure Gold.

ECX riders Rudy Waller and Seth Elliott  just returned from a quick 3
day trip up to
Wilmington, North Carolina where they jumped on
Saturday the 16th at a Charity bikeshow put on by the guys at
PureGold
Nightclubs.
The bikeshow called GOLDRUSH included music, food,
bikini contest, bikeshow, fmx show and a raffle where they gave away two
custom built bikes.

After an eleven hour drive, the guys set up the ramps in the back parking
lot and did their thing for the crowd on hand. Both riders took a couple of
warm up jumps since Rudy has been overseas for a few weeks and Seth
has been up in Canada riding different bikes and ramps. The guys were
able to set the ramps up at the usual 75ft. with plenty of room in the lot
and bust 4 sessions throughout the day in between the other activities.

Mark Phillips was to be on hand, but wasn't able to make it back yet from
his accident in Hermosillo Mexico. Mark tells us he is healing up great and
will start riding this week fulltime. Good luck Flako!

Thanks to Doghouse Dave, everyone at GoldRush and to the people of
Wilmington for a great weekend! We now have 3 days to try to re-deck
the landing before heading back out on the road to Syracuse New York...

8/27/08 News from the Road...

It's been about a week and a half since Seth Elliott and Rudy Waller
hit the road for a four show tour. The first show in Utica New York,  was
a benefit for friend and fellow rider
Jesse Cilbreth, who suffered
spinal injuries while practicing on his dirtbike a few months ago.Our
friend
Mike Kubik from Perfex put on the benefit which included
raffles, barbeque, street stunt riders, and FMX by
East Coast Xtreme
headlined by the man himself
Mad MIke Jones. The riders got a
chance to hang out with everyone at the show and sign autographs for
all the kids and friends that made it out to
12 North.

After the first show, the guys spent a day at Kubes' lake home just
outside of Utica riding jet skis', wake surfing, and relaxing before hitting
the road towards the next show a week later @ the
AMA Steel City
National.

While on the road, the EcX crew is making some pitstops around the
country to check out some of the tourist attractions that they have
driven by for years but never stop to check out. Thanks to Kube& his
family, Jonesy, Nappi, Ryan, Kareem, Jesse, 12 North, and anyone
else we may have missed for making life on the road that much more
enjoyable. Here is a couple of shots from the last couple of days, hope
you enjoy...

9/1/08 ECXFMX @ Steel City AMA Motocross National.
Last Saturday ECXFMX riders Rudy Waller and Seth Elliott met up with "Mad"
Mike Jones
at his home in Delmont Pa. for the final round of the AMA Motocross
Nationals
.

The three riders did a 15 to 20 minute demo directly following the final moto of
James
"Bubba" Stewarts'
perfect season. The crowd was pumped as they got to see
history in the making as well as watching their hometown rider and moto legend Mad
Mike Jones throwing it down as hard as ever. After the show Mike announced that he
may really be retiring at the end of this year and moving on to
Monster Truck
Racing.
We hate to hear this, but also wish Mike the best as we know he will carry
his "MAD" skillz over to the four wheel rides. We are also sure Jonesy will still throw
his leg over the Kawi a few more times doing demos and entertaining his fans as he
always has since day one of FMX.

With the
Steel City National over the crew now has a day to make the drive down to
Seths' hometown of Hillsborough Ohio, to jump in a show Tuesday night at the
Highland County Fair. Thanks to everyone who helped out in Delmont, and to the
people who support us and make it possible to keep on living the dream. Till next

This last tuesday Seth Elliott and Rudy Waller put on a 2 hour show at
the county fair. This was the first time that the guys have jumped in
Seths' hometown and were pumped to be able to put on a show for
their friends and family. The show consisted of 50 races, FMX, and a
bike raffle. Everything went very well and the guys are looking forward
to coming back next year! Thanks to everyone who made this show
possible.

9/23/08 Daytona Cycle World
Rudy and Seth made the short run to Daytona Cylce World, just off
I-95 for the second time this year to jump 3 demos during their open
house sale. The guys really like this set up since they have to jump
over a retention pond and land on a dirt sort of island off of the
parking lot. The show consisted of 4 wheel demos, live radio remote,
raffles, food, and plenty of sales. The two ECX riders made it through
the day safely and ready to hit the road for Augusta Ga. Thanks to
the folks at Daytona Cycle World for having us and to the people
who showed up to support FMX.

9/28/08 Augusta Ga. Monster Truck Show
This last weekend the ECX crew hit up Augusta Ga. for a TBO
entertainment Monster Truck Show. Seth, Rudy and Flako made
the trip into Ga. ready for their first Monster truck show in a while.
The 3 riders did shows Friday and Saturday nights for the sold
out Augusta crowd. With all three riders coming away healthy and
ready for the next show, it was time to hit the road back to sunny
Fla. for the annual Stuntwars event. Thanks to the great people at
TBO Entertainment for having us at such a quality event and to

10/14/08 Central Florida, Sanford BikeFest

ECX riders Rudy Waller and Seth Elliott spent this last three day weekend
putting on demos for the annual Sanford BIkefest. The duo jumped 3
sessions a day along some great music, bikini contests, street bike stunt by
the SPS Stunters, vendors and some other acts.

The entire weekend went well with only a small mishap as Rudy overjumped
because of the extremely windy conditions, jarring the hardware in his neck
sending him to the tailgate for the last day of shows.

EnduroCross Champion and Streetstunter Matt Zeiler brought his 250f out
for the last day to take a shot at hitting some ramps and did a great job
jumping alongside Seth.

10/17-10/19 Pro Ensemble Parquex Tour / Off
Road Challenge - Puerto Ordaz Venezuela

Rudy Waller met up with Mark Phillips in the town of Puerto Ordaz in the
southern Province of Bolivar Venezuela. The two riders performed 3
demos a day for the annual Off Road Challenge Festival held in the
cities of Valencia and Puerto Ordaz. The festival was a type of auto
expo with vendors, bands, numerous stages, models, off road races,
mudbogs, FMX, BMX, Skate demos, Breakdancers, and many more
fairlike activities.

The two riders had to share a bike which was no problem until Sunday
night when Mark didn't get back from a KOD and lawndarted into the dry
Venezuelan soil. After some banging on the twisted bike and a couple of
massages for Mark from the senoritas, the show went on as usual with
Mark bringing down the house as he took the beat bike upside down for
the Venezuelan fans. Once again they pulled it and showed everyone a
great time!

The weekend ended up being a blast with the Proensemble crew
showing everyone a great time and hanging out with the Venezuelan
bmx'rs and skaters.

Thanks to Arturo, Maite, and everyone at ProEnsemble and to all the
other cool athletes we got to hang out with during our visit to one of the
oldest places on earth.

10/30/08 X-Burn Moto Attack- Lima, Peru

ECXFMX rider Rudy Waller just got in from 15 hours of airline nightmares courtesy of
AmericanAirlines after spending the last week in Peru for the first annual X-Burn Moto
Attack  Freestyle Show held at the Miraflores Stadium, just steps from the Pacific
Ocean in the capital city of Lima.

Waller was accompanied by  the Americans
Chuck Carothers, Julian
D'usseau,Chris Taylor, Clint Esposito
,Chilean rising star Marco "Chino"
Gonzales,  and  Colombias'  Duver "
Pollo" Restrepo.

This show was definitely one of the best  shows we have been to in LatinAmerica in a
while. From the brand new bikes to the the ramps, to the awesome treatment from the
promotors and sponsors, everything was top notch for the sold out event. The crowd
got to experience a pretty wide variety of tricks from the basics to the more technical
upside down combinations by the experienced group.

Chuck Carothers took the top spot of the evening with some super flips, heel clicker
flips and some other combos, but what really had the crowd on the edge of their
seats was Chucks whips... definitely some of the gnarliest we have seen and for sure
the  sickest ever witnessed in Peru.

The only downside was when Julian landed a little off balance from one of his flips
and jammed his knee knocking him out of the final run. After a little ice and some
Chivas at the afterparty, Julian was back on his road to recovery... Hope you feel
better soon bro.

Thanks to Omar and his crew for inviting us to this event, Magoo De La Rosa and
Thalia @
Billabong for the surf trips,Burn Energy Drink, Yamaha, & their crew of
mechanics, Pachuko, and all the people of Peru who came out to support us. The
guys definitely had a blast riding, partying, surfing, and enjoying Peru. Hope to be

11/03/08 Adrenaline Project - City of St. Pete Sports
and Music Festival

With Tampa local and ECX OG Kenny Yoho jumping in a demo in Kingston,
Jamaica
this last weekend, Rudy  Waller & Seth Elliott trekked cross state
for the annual music and sports festival held waterside in downtown
St.
Petersburg Florida
.

The two riders jumped three demos throughout the day alongside skate and
bmx comps, numerous bands, vendors, and a bunch of other activities for the
kids. The crowd for the festival was pretty small, but definitely went away
enjoying a great show. The first two demos went as usual with Rudy and Seth
jumping for about 20 minutes in a designated area fenced off by steel
barricades and lined with stands to make a sort of enclosed arena. For the final
demo of the day, it started to rain causing the ramp activities to stop for the
day. With some people already in the stands waiting, Rudy called for a
leafblower from the park staff and dried the ramps enough to put in a last show,
but also ended up on the ground after sliding on the wet grass into the steel
barricades at the end of the landing. The crash was no big deal and the two
continued jumping and then stayed to hang out, give away some posters and
sign some autographs for the kids.

WIth a few new nics, scratches, and minor bruising, the guys packed up and
made it back home to relax for a week before heading back on the road.

11/18/08 ExpoCarreras - Santiago
Chile

Wappin people? I just got home after a pretty long flight
from South America- Chile to be specific, where I spent
the last week with
Matt Buyten,Jackson Strong,
Cristian Carletti, Lizandro Lopes Jobe, Diego Sayas

and the whole
Antiproduct crew. We all were there for
the annual
ExpoCarreras which is Chiles' number one
car show held @ one of the best venues in the capitol
city of Santiago.

The expo was a success with an estimated 60,000
people in attendance throughout the three days which
included a bunch of tribute bands, Nascar demos, drag
races, bikini contests, car tuning/audio competitions, car
club exhibits and alot of motorsport vendors as well as
car distribuitors.

We did 2 demos a day inside the arena where the main
indoor stage was. Chilean riders,
Chino,Renzo, and
Astroboy
, were also there throwing down some sick
riding for their hometown fans.

Seventeen Year old Crusty Demons of Dirt rider
Jackson"
Jacko" Strong was definitely the stand out rider
for the weekend hucking some nice flip combos showing
the Chilean fans a glimpse of the future in FMX...

We all had a great time while down in Chile and would
like to thank everyone that helped out during our stay.

I now have a little less than a day to wash clothes and
get back on a flight back down to Bogota Colombia...

12/4/08 Update from Lima Peru

Seems like I was only here for a minute but it has been ten days since I
arrived in Peru where I have had a blast.  I spent the first couple of days
surfing some of the insane beaches south of Lima with our friend and
promotor
Omar Cosio. It has been a while since I hit up some surf with that
kinda juice and after overjumping in Bogota last week, I was definitely feeling it
in my  neck, my back..(you know the rest.. ) Time to take a cinco for a minute..

We spent the next  day at a press conference for the world Jet Ski
championships sponsored by Burn.  At the conference we met up with Burn /
Yamaha rider
Alejandro Bulos before his final race of the year for the
National MX championship. With this news  we headed to the Manchay track to
do some catching up with old MX buddies that I haven't seen in years since my
Moto days, and support our boy Alejandro.  After hanging out at the track and
watching Alejandro win the title over
Costa Rican Cristian Leon, we took a
last day for some filming and hanging out with the new champ out in the
Peruvian desert.

The riding was pretty fun but we were missing some paddle tires which would
of made it alot more interesting. There is so much desert that it was
impossible for us to cover it in a day, a week, month, hell.. years..I definitely
need to come back and do it again.  For this trip, we stuck to where the Burn
jeeps could make it and did the shoot there. I took off on my own for a while
and ran out of gas and had to be pulled all the way back to the meeting spot,
which kinda sucked...  Alejandros' little brother
Rodrigo,  came along for the
filming and looked to be pretty interested in FMX, so who knows we may have
the first Peruvian FMX'r in the making... We are working on bringing the two
up to the States for some racing and FMX training...

After a long day in the desert, Omar and I hit up
Punta Rocas for a last
minute surf which ended up being one of the best sessions of my trip. Thanks
to everyone in Peru for a great time. I am now on my way to
La Dorada,
Colombia
to do my last show of the year. Thanks for stopping by....r.
11/24/08 Car Audio and Tuning Expo, Bogota
Colombia

Rudy Waller just spent the last weekend riding alongside "Pollo" Restrepo,
Candelazo, and Pitazo for KICKER Audio @ one of Latin Americas' largest
car audio and tuning expos held in the CORFERIAS expo center in downtown
Bogota.

The 3 day show which consisted of Car Audio/Tuning competitions,
International Bands, Exhibitors from all over Latin America, MIss Car Audio
competitions, BMX , Dj competitions,  Street stunts by Candelazo & Pitazo, and
FMX was a total success with sold out crowds every day.

Pollo and Rudy went out 3 times a day and jumped for the car audio
enthusiasts just behind one of the conference halls in a pavillion set up
especially for them by Kicker Audio with a great take off and landing set up.
Waller overjumped the landing on the last day after the take off ramp scooted
up 3 meters (about 10ft.) during saturday afternoons show. With a little ice on
the neck, he finished up the remaing shows in good shape and is looking
forward to a couple of days in Peru surfing and free riding. Good luck and
thanks to Javier Pardo, Kicker, Pollo and all the people who made this show
possible.
